What does a person have to do to get good internet service these days? Another day with no service. From 2:30pm to 10:00pm my service was out again. I was on hold from 7:45pm to 9:30pm, and then some from 9:30 to 10:00 while they worked on my problem. This is ridiculous. There have been Cox vans all over the neighborhood over the last few days. Something big must be going on. I'm just glad I'm not on call. I use my cable modem to connect to our VPN at work. Also in addition to everything else, it seems that the cable service just reset my entire account. Deborahs email account was wiped out. I had to recreate it. Once everything came back up and I was able to check email, neither one of us had any. Not even any spam. So I'm guessing both our accounts were wiped out and any waiting mail was too. Oh well, life could be worse.

NO MO HO HO HO

Got my Christmas lights down today. Our tree and all of the inside stuff was gone shortly after Christmas, but it's been too cold out to work on the outside stuff. Actually last weekend there was a chance for snow and it was supposed to be really cold. I just got it in my head that I wouldn't be taking the lights down then. It turned out to be a nice day and I spent it puttering around the house. I hate waiting so long to take my lights down. Every day after new years that goes by with my lights still on the house makes me feel more like white trash.

I thought Zane would never be quiet last night. I get home from work and he sleeps and doesn't make a sound for hours. At bedtime he decides to start an 8 hour grunting marathon. Its like sleeping with a pygmy. I think we're going to visit a different church tonight. After going to the same church for about the last 8 years, I don't like the direction its heading. Time for a change I guess. I feel bad for the kids though, they're not going to like going to a class full of strangers. But once they get used to it I think they'll love it. There will be so many more kids for them to play with; our current church is so small.

I'm really starting to question the accuracy of our local weathermen. Granted weather forecasting isn't an exact science, but when there is a small chance for rain, and it starts pouring, and the temperature in the middle of the afternoon is 20 degrees less then the forecasted high, I think the days forecast was WAY off. And it seems to be happening more and more. I think its Gods little joke. I think God probably has a great sense of humor. I think when the weathermen are just a little too close in guessing what he has planned he throws us all a curve. One of the local stations used to make some contribution to charity for every degree they were off from the forecasted high. They didn't do it for long. I think they were spending too much money. Anyway, as you can guess, it IS raining and it IS much cooler than forecasted. And of course I am at work without my jacket.
