Don't you mean Halfrican American?

Why does everyone keep saying Obama is the first black president to be elected? He's half white. I'm not trying to start a race argument, and I have no problem with a black president, I'm just curious how that works. I guess he identifies as black or something? I'm just trying to figure it all out.
